A New CPS-3 Participant Portal Experience

The Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) research team is deeply committed to incorporating the latest technologies into every aspect of our research with you, our CPS-3 participants. We routinely upgrade our systems for collecting and analyzing data and to enhance your opportunities to engage with the CPS-3 Participant Portal.

We first launched an online portal for CPS-3 participants in the summer of 2020 to offer a way for participants to take surveys online, update their contact information, learn more about CPS-3, and easily contact CPS-3 study staff. From 2020 to 2023, 67,000 participants enrolled and began using the portal.

What’s happening now?

In the fall of 2023, we started transitioning to a new, custom-built portal platform with the goals of improving:

How we collect, store, and use your information (data). This new platform integrates all CPS-3 participants’ survey responses into one centralized system. This streamlining improves the value of the data—its quality and accuracy. Plus, it makes managing and using the data easier and more efficient for the CPS-3 study management team and other ACS researchers.

How we customize your experience as a participant. Soon we’ll start introducing new features like the ones you’ve suggested in recent feedback surveys to make the portal more dynamic, engaging, informative, and easy to use.

Data security and privacy. This new platform has been built with the latest industry-leading security standards and will be updated as standards evolve so your information and data stay private.

Our ability to keep initiating innovative research studies. We developed this custom portal platform to change and evolve over time, so we can ensure we're always integrating new data-collection tools and the latest technologies.

Access your portal account now using these easy steps:
